Water baptism symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and our identification with Him. It is not required for salvation but is an act of obedience and a public sign of what Christ has done inwardly in your life. Water baptism should be the first step of faith you take after being born again. You demonstrate a proclamation outwardly to
other believers, and also to the world, that you are following Jesus with your life. If you have recently made a decision to follow Christ or have been a believer for many years and have not been baptized, now is a good time to take this step.
